Symptoms of half-brain thinking. Is this you?

• You are frequently stressed out (which can lead to all manner of health issues: anxiety, depression, addictions, obesity, obsessions, poor health, etc.)
• You try very hard, but you're getting nowhere.
• You feel like something huge is missing, but you can’t put your finger on it.
• You keep telling yourself “if only___”, but nothing seems to change.
• You tend to be too perfectionistic.
• You tend to focus on details, rather than the big picture.
• You tend to be obsessive compulsive.
• You have a hard time with new ideas or change.
• You resist change, even if there is evidence that change will do you some good.
• You tend to be domineering or controlling, thinking that everything will fall apart without you.
• You tend to think in either/or, black or white or all or nothing terms.
• You tend to see problems rather than opportunities.
• You dislike taking risks.
• You find it difficult to imagine something different than what you are used to.
• You tend to see differences rather than commonalities.
• You tend to focus on weaknesses, rather than strengths.
• You prefer to do things yourself rather than as a team.
• You tend to be distrustful of partnerships, collaborations and new acquaintances.
• You’d rather copy or emulate someone else, rather than trust your gut.
• You rely on select data or facts to support your existing attitudes, rather than experiment with new theories or trust “feelings.”
• You don’t enjoy being creative.
• You tend to be a pessimist, rather than an optimist.
• You tend to be serious, rather than playful.
• You tend to be very critical and judgmental of yourself and others.
• Your mind is occupied with fears, doubts, worries or concerns.
• You tend to see the past as your future destiny.
• You cannot quiet your mind for more than a few seconds.
• You preferred math, science or languages in high school or college, rather than the arts.
• You tend to be anxious or depressed, rather than passionate or exuberant.
• And you are saying “yeah, but” right about now.

If you can relate to most of this, then you have not discovered the near miraculous potential of your creative half!

“The words of language, as they are written or spoken, do not seem to play any role in my mechanism of thought. The psychical entities which seem to serve as elements in thought are certain signs and more or less clear images.” Albert Einstein

You can tap into the same psychical areas or creative half of the brain that Albert Einstein retained since childhood, but you have forgotten how to use. It's just sitting up there waiting for you to discover its uses to achieve your own potential for personal growth and organizational success.
